SPONSORS
It Couldn’t Be Done Without You!

Each year, the New Haven Festival Committee turns to local and area business and industry for help. Corporate sponsorship is very important to carry out the many activities of the Festival and provide the community with a wholesome and festive celebration.

Corporate sponsorship is sought to help defray those expenses which cannot be met through fees, such as entertainment and the parade. It is the feeling of the committee that to begin charging for events such as these will only take away from the community spirit and involvement that makes the festival such as success.
The New Haven Festival Committee strives to give as much recognition as possible to our corporate sponsors. Festival activities are publicized through the Canal Days official tabloid as well as local and regional electronic and print media.

The Canal Days Festival in New Haven is also publicized throughout the state and country in a number of industry publications. Our membership to the Indiana State Festival Association puts us in front of many regional and statewide markets.

To all of our corporate sponsors, we say “THANK YOU”! It is only through your generous contributions and belief in our New Haven community that we have been able to grow and provide our residents and visitors with a first-class event!

The Festival Committee welcomes new volunteer recruits!

According to Craig Robison, the New Haven Festival Committee board president, activities have grown over the past 20 years substantially, but the number of volunteers has remained constant. The board of directors is looking for people who are willing to donate time to the organization of the annual festival activities as well as donate time during the 5-day event. “We are looking for anyone who is willing to donate any amount of time,” states Lynn Holt, the group’s vice-president. “We need people to sell tickets, put up and take down electrical wiring, monitor the midway, assist with parade activities, chair specific areas and events, help with entertainment and serve as hosts to the entertainers, especially those from out of town,” concludes Holt.
It is the Committee’s intent to put people where they want to be. “If you like what you are doing, then it isn’t work,” professes Doug Geller, president of the board from 1987 until 2001. Robison adds, “We aren’t asking for years of commitment, just what each individual can give,” “Training and an understanding of what is expected will be provided. “Most importantly”, concludes Robison, “ we are always open to suggestions for improvement and enhancement of festival activities.”
Festival Committee volunteers are also available to meet with civic organizations to present fundraising opportunities and provide additional information about this highly successful community festival.
